HLW designed Ciro’s Plaza, a 37-story mixed-use development that houses retail, cultural entertainment, and office space.

Prominently located on Nanjing West Road, one of Shanghai’s busiest avenues, the building is organized to maximize its commercial exposure.  A lushly landscaped public plaza is designed to draw pedestrians into an interior atrium, which is the visual focal point of a five-story retail podium filled with shops, restaurants, and small theater.

Located above the retail podium are 32 floors of “Class A” office space, which feature an Intelligent Building System and a four-story special event “sky-cube.”  A gold blade, angled to face People’s Park and the focal point of the “sky-cube” itself, mark the axis of Nanjing Road.
